Yes, we are a full service moving company that provides packing, unpacking, storage solutions, packing materials, and moving services to our customers. We can provide as little or as much help as you need.
Is Pioneer Moving and Storage licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes, we are a licensed, bonded, and insured moving company.
How long does it take to get a quote?
Generally we can get you an estimate over the phone as soon as you call. To provide a more accurate quote, one of our team members will come to your home or business and access your belongings. This can generally be scheduled within 2-3 business days.
What type of insurance will I be offered?
Movers generally provide three types of protection for your goods in case they are lost or damaged.
Limited liability: This is the basic coverage required by law and doesn’t cost you anything. Under limited liability, the mover is responsible for 60 cents per pound per item for an interstate move.
Added valuation: This type allows you to collect the amount based on the current replacement value of the item, minus depreciation. The amount you pay for this coverage depends on how much you declare your goods are worth.
Full value: This insurance costs the most and covers the actual cost of an item’s replacement or repair, without any deduction for depreciation. Before purchasing coverage from the moving company, check your homeowner’s insurance policy to see if it will cover your goods during a move and compare plans.
What happens if my items get lost or damaged?
We do everything possible to prevent lost or damaged items. However in the case it does happen, you have nine months from the date of delivery to file a claim.
Are there any extra fees I need to be aware of?
Some moving companies will charge for things like: strangely shaped or awkward items; a residence that’s not easily accessible for a large moving truck or van, or fuel and transportation surcharges. Pioneer Moving and Storage, we are upfront and transparent with our moving quotes. If your items need to be stored, additional fees like warehouse handling charges may apply. It's best to ask about additional charges in advance to avoid any surprises.
